VEEAM B&R temp with Enterprise license

    Hello,

Im trying to make working this template: https://www.zabbix.com/integrations/...plication_http on Zabbix 7.4.15 version with Enterprise license of VEEAM itself.
    VBR v. 13.1.1.18

Name:	image.png
Views:	20
Size:	13.8 KB
ID:	517770
In the latest data section i get:
Get errors: Request failed with status code 400: {"errorCode":"UnknownError","message":"License restrictions apply.","title":"License restrictions apply.","status":400}.

Get security analyzer results: Response code "404" did not match any of the required status codes "200"

    Macros:
    {$HTTP.TLS.VERIFY} - none
    {$VEEAM.API.URL} - https://XXX:9419/
    {$VEEAM.PASSWORD} pass
{$VEEAM.USER} local user on my VM

local user is able to login do RDP and open VBR, his role is Backup Admin

My question is if its really a dead end so i cant use API request under Enterprise license, because in prerequisities i can see that Enterprice license should be compatible.

    Thank you

    Hello,

We are experiencing exactly the same issue, with the same error message. We also have an Enterprise license.

I have just received info from Veem Support team:

Thank you for sharing the License Information screenshot. Your backup server has a Perpetual, Enterprise edition license on 4 sockets. With this license, the "License restrictions apply" (status 400) error from the Zabbix template is expected behavior. It does not point to a fault on your Veeam Backup & Replication 13.1 server.

The Zabbix "Veeam Backup and Replication by HTTP" template pulls its data from the Veeam Backup & Replication REST API. With socket-based licensing, the REST API is only available in the Enterprise Plus edition. Instance-based (Veeam Universal License) editions that include the REST API also support it. The Enterprise edition does not include it, so the server rejects the template's data requests. The 4 instances on your License Information screen are the built-in instances that come with a socket license. The number matches your socket count. They do not add REST API access (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vb...licensing.html). Version 13 did not change the REST API licensing (https://forums.veeam.com/viewtopic.p...100634&start=0).

To use the Zabbix template, you have these options:
Upgrade to Enterprise Plus (socket) or to a Veeam Universal License edition that includes the REST API.

Once the new entitlement is issued, go to Main Menu > License in the Veeam Backup & Replication console and click Update Now, or click Install if you received a new license file. Check that the Edition field shows the new edition, then retest the Zabbix template.
If upgrading the license is not an option, you can adapt your Zabbix monitoring to collect data with Veeam PowerShell instead of the REST API.

So its missleading information that mentioned template can be used with Enterprise license. Its not compatible.

        Thank you for this feedback.
I will look into using Veeam PowerShell scripts instead, such as this one:
