Public SVN access

I have one question about public SVN access.
As you announced in
http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5341 thread you restoring public SVN access only via svn:// protocol.
Is it possible to enable http:// access too?
I am located behind firewall an svn:// protocol is closed for me.
I think that many users will be glad for this access type.

It seems that noone dont need http access instead of svn
