    zabbix_server not getting data undetected

    Hi,
would it be possible, to generate a warning, or at least display in webfrontend, if getting data from zabbix_agentd failed ?
i have the problem, that since a server-crash yesterday, the server and the agentd are running, but some of the values polled have a timestamp from before the crash..

i wouldn't have noticed without checking "Last Data" .. thats not soooo good..
or is this a known bug pending to be fixed ?

    best regards
    Andreas

If one has no notifications configured for such event, why this considered a bug?

I would suggest using of function nodata() for agent.ping. For example,

    {host:agent.ping.nodata(600)}=1

The trigger will become TRUE if no data is received for agent.ping within 10 minutes.

Alternatively you may use key "status".

      You are very right,
if i not define a trigger, there shall be no alarm ..
      Shame on me.

I did as you suggested, and found one oddity ( i fear to call it bug )

"SQL_APInode_t:icmpping.last(0)#1" should be true (trigger an alarm) if returncode is not 1, right ?
but it is true, and triggers an alarm, if it is 1 (=pingable), ..
"SQL_APInode_t:icmpping.last(0)=1" switches the alarm off ..

what did i do wrong again now ?
