Active Checks - Clear Text

I have a quick question. When using Active Checks to send data to the server i pressume the data is sent in clear text, is this correct?

The data is sent base64 encoded.

Yes. At present all client / server communication is in clear text, based 64 encoded.

EDIT: I forgot the base encoding that is happening now.
