    Switch Port monitoring

    Hi,
has anybody invented method of monitoring and displaying status of
all of the ports and interconnections of couple of 24 port switches.
Monitoring will be done using SNMP of course but I would like to have descriptive
map of all Layer 2 devices.
Any plans to implement objects (switches) consisting of multiple subobjects (ports) ?

    Regards
    Peter

    Switch connections map

You could do it with the "Maps within Maps" technique, but it would be very time consuming to set up. I have thought about doing the same thing myself, but haven't tackled it yet.

Anyone done this and have some screenshots of it? I'm interested in making screens of our switches, but before I put a lot of work in it I would like to see some ideas om how it could be done and looks.

        Hi,
        is this what you mean?

I wish, if i can remove the label then it would be nice!

        Thanks,

            hide/unhide label option

as you see, it possible to do that by define the trigger of ifoperstatus.x (where x is an index that represent the port number).
But, since label is something "compulsory" in map's setting, it then became so ugly to see

It's nice if label can be hide/unhide.

            Hi aly,
is this proposal possible to implement?

            Thanks,
