Bugs reported status?

I just noticed there was an area where bugs are reported.
It seems there are many bugs which have never gotten looked at.
Is this normal?
I see some bugs going as far back as 2005.

Is Zabbix a volunteer project with commercial support, or a commercial product with a liberal policy which allows users to use it for free.

For a commercial product I would be worried seeing tickets as far back 2005.

If a mixed volunteer/commercial type of situations, then I would not be so worried, but would like to just understand better Zabbix future support before commiting to gettin a maintenance contract.

If you are referring to Sourceforge bug tracking system, it cannot be considered as an official one and we do not pay serious attention to keeping information up-to-date there. We will close it at some point to avoid confusion.

At the moment, we use internal bug tracking system which is not publicly available (yet). Most updated information about current open bugs can be found in ZABBIX Wiki and we update it frequently.
