Auto-discovery module

Hi,
I develloped a fully operationnal (but still in beta version) php auto-discovery module.
It's scan network, ports, detect udp 161 (snmp) if the correct community is given, let you select which machines, ports and snmp infos you want keep and to finish insert all hosts and items into zabbix database.
In 2 minutes i added 30 hosts and 4900 items.
I can't image how long the same work "made by hands" requires ...

Would know Zabbix developpers could tell me if they are interested.

Autodicsovery is already implemented and will be available in 1.4. I do not think that we would be interested in a PHP based server side functionality.

Thanks for your work anyway! I would appreciate yourcomments about ZABBIX autodiscovery module when 1.4. is out.

ZEC was created to get ride of the boring job of adding hosts and items manually.
First ZEC do an "ifconfig like" to get your network configuration.
Then you can:
*ping network to detect equipements
*scan network to detect open ports (you have to fill a list of desired ports to scan) and by the way detect snmp on equipements (you have to give the correct snmp community).
After that you can retrieve snmp MIB on all equipements where snmp was detected.
To finish remove each element that you don't want (network,host,port or snmp item) then ZEC will insert all the result to Zabbix database.
ZEC add only host and items (snmp V1 and tcp,<port>) for the moment.
