    sound in triggers

    Hi,

Is there a way to stop the sound in the trigger section ? This quicktime thing is stealing the firefox focus each time the page reloads and that screw up everything you do in the browser each time. Any idea to make it more user friendly or to shut it down ?

    regards,
    Ghislain.

the trigger page has an embeded:

      audio/trigger_on_high.wav

that is played by my quicktime plugin in firefox and ..it's a pain

        ... even if acknowledged

        Hi,

I don't mind the audio alerts that much when a new trigger fires ... it's nice to get a wakeup signal if something goes bad :-)

My gripe is that Zabbix (at least 1.4) makes some noise on every refresh and even for ACKed triggers.

I think in 1.1, sounds were played only on the first two refreshes or so after a status change.

        \B.

yes but it was not about if this feature is usefull or not but if there is a way to disable it or make it so it does not steal the browser's focus As i do not watch the screen when i type it happen that i loose 5 minutes of typing in the browser because zabbix just done a 'bip' for an item.

If any embeded html object guru know how to prevent the browser focus to be stealed it could be wonderfull I have tried to disable the quicktime plugins for .wav on firefox with no succès right now.

for info i just removed the directory

            /audio/

            and commented the lines:

            549
            553
            and
            554

            of
            ./include/config.inc.php

and the sound is gone and peace is back on my browser

            Ghislain.
            Regards,
            Ghislain.
