Please, bring back "repeat alert" feature

This is quote from manual:
“Having performance monitoring is good, but it is almost useless without a powerful notification mechanism. With ZABBIX, an administrator can define virtually any possible condition for a trigger, using flexible expressions. Any time these expressions become true (or false), an alert will be emailed to any address defined by the administrator. “
I though, one core of zabbix feature is alert. Honestly, I’m not sure how alert works in zabbix 1.4.x. Is it now one time alert only, or execute 1 time on 24hrs? I did tested it, and seem execute 1 time on every 24hrs. Am I correct?
Without repeat capability, I think we will miss “powerfull notification mechanism”. IMHO
