    Trigger: Error Manual Managed

    Hi,

When I generate an alarm, for management reason,
how can I tell to the trigger that is a managed error?

    Is there a similar feature?

I think that is a very important feature,
I wan't receive a large amount of e-mail, sms and so... for an application that I have stopped....

Typically, I just disable the trigger temporarily. If I know a host is going to be down for an extended time, I will just disable that host from being monitored. If an application that I am monitoring is going to be down/restarted/ect, I just disable that particular trigger.

This of course varies quite a bit for me. They took away my escalation/repeat emails in 1.4 (hopefully to replace it with a better version *hint* *hint* for any dev's listening) so I wrote a shell script that sends emails repeatedly until the trigger comes back online and has a crude implementation of escalation. Only certain triggers activate the script, so if I know one of those is going down, I most certainly stop it first. If I am restarting a program on my development box, pssh who cares. I am the only recipient and I will get an email ON and an email OFF so its not worth stopping /starting anything in Zabbix. So there is a bit of trade-off for me.

I would really like to have something on the main screen that I can say "ignore all errors on this function" and not have any emails go off regardless of trigger state until that is lifted, but I don't know of anything like that in Zabbix at the moment. Maybe we will get something like that in the near future.

      Hopefully this helps a bit.

I have thinked the same thing, but the problem is to forgot that the trigger is disabled.....
because this depend of the human error.....

for the script, I don't like export feature from zabbix with external script (it is possible....)

anyway thank you for the replay
