How to monitor a link

Hi there,

I'm monitoring 2 locations with Zabbix, and every time the link between those locations has packet loss, I got flooded with SMSses.
I want to monitor the link between the two locations, and use that for dependency on the triggers for the remote servers.
What is the best way to monitor a link ? Not to just know if it's up or down, but I want to know if the link working good, bad, or not at all.
(I have little or no access to the border-devices)

If the link have lots of packetloss maybee you should change your Trigger to use "period of time" to fit your link trigger.

Personally I would fix that link that have lots of packetloss
