    certmaster for encrypting agents

Don't know how many of you have heard of "func" [1] yet, but its a rather kewl little distributed systems management utility. One of their features is "certmaster" which handles distributing ssl certificates so that all communication channels are encrypted. Due to its effectiveness and simplicity they are looking at breaking "certmaster" into its own project for other projects to utilize without relying upon "func" [2].

Don't know that it is THE solution for zabbix, but I think it could save Alexei and those helping him lots of work if ssl was the route they were looking.

i've been away from watching zabbix for a while so forgive my ignorance but what exactly does that have to do with it?

I realize it doesnt make the utilization of the command any more easily accessible via php than any other command, but from a stand point of providing a single easy way of managing SSL certs across a server/client relationship it seems like that disadvantage would only be worsened by Yet Another Method or having admins do it themselves

        *shrug*

anyways.. just wanted to make you aware.
