    [BUG] Web Monitoring & Templates

    Hi,

    I discovered a bug in zabbix 1.4.4.

When I create a host and download a file with a simple scenario (WEB Monitoring) it's work fine : I can see speeds and all other stuff.

However, if I create a scenario into a template (with an host linked to the template), tests are performed (I can see OK/Fail into "Moniroting > Web" part of zabbix frontend) but no data is available. So no speed information, no data can be seen into "Monitoring > Overview - data" and no graph into "Monitoring > WEB" (I mean no shapes into graph (-: )

    Thanks for the patch (-:

And thanks for this wonderful tool (I mean the whole zabbix)

I think the same is in 1.4.2 !

I see in zabbix_server.log that the check is really done.
The response code 200 is OK, the speed is OK and the download
    rate is OK.
But after that, the SQL statement seems to fail and the results
    are stored nowhere.

ZABBIX 1.4.2, Linux RHEL 4, MySQL fails with this error.

Using ZABBIX 1.4.2, FreeBSD 6.2 (Sparc64), PostgreSQL works, but
    no template involved.

I am afraid this "works as designed", though.

    Regards

    Norbert.

What you stumbled upon is the infamous "web scenarios can't be attached to templates" problem. This is a design flaw - web scenarios were not meant to be templateable.

      A big flaw, btw.

This is something to be addressed by 1.6.

            Is this in 1.5.2/1.5.3 yet?
