I have two comments/questions regarding implementation of reports in Zabbix (nightly build 1.5):
- are there any plans to allow custom period for availability reports? Current solution is much too rigid. For example we have a contract for providing specific service between 1st of March and 1st of December. At the end of this period I would like to generate a nice availability percentage table. If I understood correctly Zabbix enables only yearly reports?
- how is the Unknown state on the "Reports"/"Availability report" interface calculated? I started running Zabbix server yesterday so I expected that the Unknown state percentage would be pretty big. However in most cases percentage of state Unknown is 0. But if I select graph I can see that bars for all days are in Unknown state. In case of IT Services graph situation is completely opposite - graph shows that Trigger has been 100% ok since the beginning of year.
I tried to find some info on this in the manual and on wiki pages but was unsuccessful. Forum reveals following suggestion from Alexei:
"ZABBIX users are free to use Crystal Reports, Excel, you name it, and create any custom reports. There are several standard reports ZABBIX provides and we are adding more and more."

Will this "more and more" include custom periods in nearby future?
