    FreeBSD 7.0

    Currently using Zabbix 1.4.5. Zabbix Server running on FreeBSD6.2. Zabbix Agents running on FreeBSD4.8, 5.4, 6.2. Everything works great. However, our systems will be upgraded to FreeBSD 7.0 shortly.

    Keeping the Zabbix Server on a FreeBSD6.2 box for now, I am currently testing the Zabbix Agent on a server running FreeBSD7.0 and am seeing an issue with the item: proc.num[]

    Looking over the forums it appears there are more items not functioning with FreeBSD7.0 (They are using 1.1.x in thread below)

    Are there any plans to move testing from the below to FreeBSD 7?

    ZABBIX Server has been tested on the following platforms:
    * FreeBSD 6.2, Intel

    ZABBIX Agents have been compiled and tested on the following
    platforms:
    * FreeBSD 4.11, 5.4

    Hi Scott,
    Not sure if this will answer your question, but i'm running ZABBIX 1.4.5 on top of FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE platform with no issue. I'm only host ZABBIX as server only and not tested it as agent as well.
    Code:
    $ uname -a
    FreeBSD fbsdzbx 7.0-STABLE FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE #1: Sat May  3 12:53:31 WIT 2008     BEE@fbsdzbx:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/ZABBIX  i386
    Thanks,
    BEE

      Hi,

      I am confident that both the server and the agent will run. However, Clearly there are specific issues as stated above. I simply thought I'd ask if testing can be performed on the latest version of FreeBSD for future releases. I think it makes more sense to test the application on the latest platform.

          Lots of improvements have already been made for (Open/Free/Net)BSD agents in pre 1.6 (1.5.x).
