Startup Problem with Zabbix Linux agent

Hello

I have installed zabbix-1.4.2 agent on Linux 4 u 5, on two machines the agent is running fine but on two other machines when I start the agent it generate no error but when I check the status of the agent, it give me the message the zabbixAgent is stopped. how can I diagnose this problem. Any idea

It is not creating the pid file.

check the log file to see why its not starting

Give ur agent configuration file.
I guess the user under which zabbix agent should run has not the right to create the pid file...

The problem is solved. The error which I diagnose from logs file was "One child process died". So I use zabbix-1.4.4 insted of zabbix-1.4.2.

I guess the problem was not the agent version, 1.4.2 is working well..
"One child process died" means just that the pb was preventing the agent to run.

did u change rights ? installed new packages ?

Yes I also tried by changing the rights but it was not working.
And what do mean by installed new packages ?
