userparameter: output more then 15 lines not displayed in zabbix?

I have written a vbscript that produces some information. The problem is that when i run zabbix_get i see al the 20 lines, but when i check it with zabbix i see only 15 lines?

I have create another script that just fills 20 lines. It look likes that the problem is not the lines but the words. It stops arount 1500 words. is this true?
does anybody have a work arround?

i have found out that when i remove al spaces en replace them with a tab i can put a lot more info in zabbix. so zabbix see a tab as one character. But i still need more then 1500 characters in my value's.

So my problem is: i need to collect more then 1500 characters in zabbix. The zabbix_get command works, but zabbix displayed max. 1500 characters as a value.

I am almost 100% certain that this is a limitation within MySQL. I believe that the item=text uses the MySQL block type.

Can anyone confirm this?

I am sorry, but I don't have a solution for you. Maybe this information will help you find one though.

thnx for your answer. But i have checked the mysql website and i found out that the item = TEXT can hold 1 to 65535 Characters.

This is a limit of 1.4.x. The limit no longer exists for 1.5.x (pre-1.6).
