Why does it say "Connection refused" if i'm only using simple checks?

Hi People!

The zabbix is very good tool for monitoring! I have many hosts monitoreds.
I am need monitoring one router, just test of ping (for test your availability).

Follow my confs:

Configuration of host:
Name: router-20 (virtual name)
Group: Routers
IP address: 200.20.25.30
Connect to: Ip address
Port: 0
Status: Monitored

Item linked in router:
Description:Test availability of router
Type: Simple check
Key: icmpping
type of information: Numeric float
Use multiplier: Do not use
Update interval (in sec):
Status: Active
Store value: As is


The Simple check not e work; the message error is present:

Cannot connect to [200.20.25.30:0] [Connection refused] by UI

Get value from agent failed. Error: Cannot connect to [200.20.25.30:0] [Connection refused] by log zabbix-server.


Which port I use (in register of host)? for correct comunication?

I am using Simple Check, why not work?


Comment:
- My ping (fping) is worked fine which others hosts, but which agent instaled in remote host.
- Version of zabbix: ZABBIX Server (daemon) v1.4.4 (17 December 2007)
Compilation time: Apr 16 2008 16:26:04.
- In console of server-zabbix the ping is worked in the host created (200.20.25.30).
- I search this forum and read the manual (version 1.4), but not find the solution.

I was look the term "connection refused", but not find nothing, except others questions not resolveds.

How make the simple check?, if the server-zabbix connect in client (agent zabbix) for one port (161 or 10050)?
I have any servers (client zabbix) e ativos (snmp) which simple check (Keys: icmppingsec / icmpping); the informations is perfects, but by port 10050.

Please, list one example. I not understand how the communication is realized.

The setup for the ping to the router looks right. Questions?

Can you ping the ip address from the command line of the zabbix server?
Can you ping other computers through zabbix gui?
Do you have icmp blocked on the router?
Using just port "0" for simple checks? No snmp grabbing?

Yes, the ping is realized com sucess.

Can you ping other computers through zabbix gui?
Yes, i have 77 hosts in monitored web, but always which agent of zabbix or snmp up.

Do you have icmp blocked on the router?
No. The other console or of server zabbix o router is accessible.

Using just port "0" for simple checks? No snmp grabbing?
I tried the port "0", but not sucess!

No, just one interface.

Receiving request on one interface and answering on another interface?
I not have permission for access the route (this is particular hardware, the one organization of services in comunications).
Just ping the router of any console (all servers).
