I am newb to the MAC world and Zabbix so go easy on me.
I am at my wits end here. I have been trying to get Zabbix compiled for two weeks and no luck. I have tried just about everything to get this done but nothing seems to work. I have tried a bunch of the fixes suggested here in the forums and nothing has worked - so I am sure I am missing something.
I am trying to install it on a MAC 10.4 server using MySQL 5.0.51b trying to use the 1.4.5 source.
I have MySQL installed and I was able to create the Zabbix user, group and database.
When I run the ./configure command I get a "configure: error: Not found mysqlclient library" error. I have looked in the config.log but I don't even have a clue what I am looking at so I don't know what to post here.
I will be more than happy to post any info that is needed.
Surely one of you smart guys here can help a fellow trying to run this software.
just for kicks i downloaded the 1.1.7 version and I am able to compile that with no troubles. I hope someone that sees this will know what my issue with version 1.4.5 is and can kindly give me a clue.
