    zabbix on ubuntu desktop

    Hello

Has anyone tried to install & run Zabbix on the latest Ubuntu desktop instead of server? If so was it 100% success or was there too many problems? Was it easy to install and get running?

I would like to try this experiment to see if it works or not.

    Thanks

There shouldn't be any issues. Just be sure to install the right packages first. I don't know what the ubuntu specific ones but probably along the lines of mysql, mysql-dev, mysql-client, php-mysql, make/gcc, apache, php, php-gc, and php-bc. There are likely more I'm forgetting. Desktop/Server really just means a different default package load and optimization towards either role, but it's basically the same underneath.
