    Zabbix Maintenance Mode

    On page http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9814:

    "Added maintenance mode
ZABBIX Maintenance mode can be activated to disable ZABBIX front-end."

I cann't find in web interface settings of maintenance mode. Can somebody provide me with instruction for tuning maintenance mode?

    Zabbix v 1.5.3.

    thank you.

Look at conf/maintenance.inc.php. It is quite straight forward! Just uncomment two-three lines of code.

Yes, this is for whole ZABBIX. No per-host maintenance periods are supported currently.

Just to clarify...If we put the zabbix server in maintenance mode and then perform maintenance on a host, will the actions that are usually triggered still be triggered? I'm trying to find a way to handle our planned maintenance windows without receiving a ton of alerts.

that's the host/hostgroup maintenance, which has been added in 1.7 version only. zabbix frontend maintenance is simply displaying some message to users of zabbix frontend, but does not affect zabbix server in any way
