(German)-Umlaute & degree-character in 1.6 not displayed properly

In V1.6 german-umlaute (äöü) are not displayed correct in maps. (see pic no. 1)

And the degree-character ° is displayed as a question mark on all pages. (see pic no. 2)

I have the same effect, in the configuration menu I can create german-character (UTF8), but in the screens, maps I see not correct displayed german-character.

Graphs and maps are two exceptions to the full UTF-8 support for the front-end. We use fixed fonts, which do not have non-English characters.

This should be improved at some point.
