zabbix not deleting old triggers?

i noticed that when deleting some invalid items from a template (i entered them wrong), the triggers associated with the linked hosts were not removed from the database.

when i look at the overview screen i see all green (no triggers are true). however, when i view the triggers page, i see the old triggers still there. is this a bug, or does the housekeeper clean this up eventually?

edit: it looks like the functions werent deleted either.
