Active Agents failing

I just upgraded from 1.46 to 1.6 and my Active Agents are failing. I have deleted a Host, recreated it and only added one Item. For example, agent.version and system.uptime. Both were working fine in 1.46 and no matter what are not working in 1.6.

They are being checked as the log below, but they are stuck in the queue. I used Active Checks for all the servers so this basically has put me down without being able to monitor any of the servers.

Well, actually one Windows server works, so I copied the binaries to another server, changed the config file to have the proper server name and restarted the service and nothing.. same effect. There must be something broken in 1.6 with Active Agents. The environment is Centos 5.2 for the zabbix server and windows 2k3 enterprise for the remote.

Any ideas, suggestions will be appreciated.

Can someone make a point to verify what the issue is with Active Agents? For what I have seen and read in the forum perhaps 1.6 is not ready for production. Too many people are having issues and besides the change of code for the server even using old agents as far as 1.4.4 still does not work with simple checks as system.uptime for example.
