    Zabbix 1.6 JavaScript Error IE6

    Hi there,

we migrate from Zabbix 1.4 to 1.6. No Problems with the backend, but the frontend lacks with JavaScript Errors. The Internet Explorer says 'Object not found' on different pages. The most impact we see at the 'Overview' page if we change the systems using the combobox at the top right corner.

Have any other of you Zabbix running using Internet Exploer 6? I know that this version is deprecrated, but other third party tools requires this version for their ActiveX Controls, so we can't update to IE 8 or Firefox 3.

    Thank you in advance.

Generally I do check JS scripts on IE6 and I try to support it, but it's not in top of a list of a browsers. I would recommend to download our nightly build of 1.6.x from http://www.zabbix.com/developers.php and try atleast frontend from it. It contains some fixes for IE6.

      Hi Aly,

thanks for your response. I'll try the latest build of the 'frontend' and give a short response if it works.

        Hi Aly,

Nightly Build doesn't work either... I've attached the JS error if I switch the system group using the combo box.

In my case (I've tested it on win XP SP2 IE6) it does work (I don't get any error messages). Does anybody else have such problem on IE6?

Mmm, strange. We use XP SP3 latest Updates distributed by WSUS.
