Windows Zabbix Agent and Perfmon Counters

Has anyone noticed that if the zabbix_agentd.exe for windows starts before an application that has perfmon counters you want to monitor, the counters go unsupported or report zeros (using zabbix_server.conf with perfomon=)? If we restart the zabbix_agentd things are fine but a certain app that we monitor with perfmon counters is started later after the reboot process. I can understand why the item keys go unsupported since they are not initial there but I wonder if there is a way to get the agent to recheck every ounce in a while in case they become available? Just a thought.

Currently we have to run a batch job that restarts the agents everyday.

In the frontend... Configuration --> General then in the dropdown at the top right corner select "other" and you can enter a value (seconds) for "refresh unsupported items". I think by default it is set at 600 seconds.

Thanks tchjts1 for the quick reply.

The zabbix_agentd itself stops checking for the perfmon counters or just sends zero's to the zabbix trappers when it is setup for active checks and the perfmon counters do not exist at first or for some reason the application is recycled. Using active monitoring for the perfmon counters because it allows quicker polling and does not type of the zabbix pollers ques.

I am wondering it there is a way to get the agent to recheck it the perfmon counters are present or not without restarting the agent.
