Media Type script seems not to work

I have running zabbix 1.6 on a Suse 10.3 machine.

I have defined a media type script, that should run a script "myscript"
myscript is in /home/zabbix/bin, zabbix user has rights on it.


As action send message is defined to user X.
This is working fine for the defined media E-mail,
but however the script is not executed. I did not found
in the logs any hint about this script ( debug level 3)
As it is setup user x should get e-mail and parallel the script
should run.

Has anyone media scripts in use, or an idea why this does not works?

After a while it started working, but it tooks really a while.

Can you tell how you solve your problem ?
I had the same problem.
I upgrade to version 1.6 and all media's configures as scripts stops to work.
Zabbix server don't try to execute them at all.

I really have no idea why it stopped working and
started working after a while.

I think I have not changed anything.

But I have the feeling, that sometimes message are not send. As zabbix is running multiple task it might be a problem, if there are too many notifications in a short time,
and sometimes they might block each other.
So if there is some time I have to check, how
I can analyse and fix it.
