Zabbix 1.6 proxy bufferred data slow to uplink

    Hello.

I have a setup where I have some hosts monitored by a Zabbix 1.6 proxy, and it so happenned that the Zabbix server was stopped for about 30 minutes. The proxy kept on collecting the data as it should, but when the server came back online, the bufferred data is vert slow to upload - it's been several hours now, and the server is still about 20 minutes behind on it's data.

Can anybody help me with this problem?

It could be related to bad performance of ZABBIX server during hourly (by default) execution of the housekeeper process.

The server doesn't seem to be overloaded that much, the DB is not consuming a lot of resources It took something like 6 hours yesterday to catch up with 30 minutes worth of data.

I still insist on performance issues on ZABBIX Server side!

OK, what do you Think I should do, then to improve performance? Somebody was talking about some configuration option that improves mysql performance, but it's use is not recommended in 1.6, right?

I would monitor database and disk I/O performance to identify a bottleneck. In most cases ZABBIX is I/O (not CPU) bound.
