Log file monitoring problem after upgrade to 1.6.1

I'm running Zabbix on Solaris 10 and just upgraded to 1.6.1, and now I have problems with log file monitoring. The items for log file monitoring turn into "Not supported". In the agents log file I find things like:

6646:20081106:145610 Cannot set postition to [-4218608] for [/var/adm/messages] [Invalid argument]
6646:20081106:145610 Active check [log[/var/adm/messages,NOTICE]] is not supported. Disabled.

It looks like it has something to do with the file position, which is a negative number.

Is there anything I can do, or is this some kind of bug?

Today after I restarted the agents, it seems to work fine again. Yesterday I restarted the agents several times, so I have no clue why it is working differently today...
