    New IP format in zabbix_agentd.conf ::ffff:192.168.2.100 ??

    Guys, upgraded from 1.4.6 to 1.6 (server and agent) on Debian Lenny and then i was getting some empty parameter errors. I looked in the logs and it was rejecting the DNS names and the IP's I had listed for the zabbix servers.

    Basically the fix was to put in the IP like this, "::ffff:192.168.2.100". Is this normal now for 1.6, since it supports IPv6? I tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything like this. If this is just Debian's fault, let me know and I can put in a bug report with them, thanks. If this is normal now, then I would want to know that too...

    Thanks!

    It is normal if you have IPv6 support compiled in and your system uses IPv6.

      Thanks. The maintainers must have compiled it with IPv6 support.
