Distributed setup : using Group from another Node?

Again a question concerning the distributed setup ( I'm starting to wonder wether distributed setup is mature enough to use in a professional enviroment ):

I can see the events from the slave nodes in the master node BUT i'm not able to use groups from other nodes in the actions? How useful is that? the webinterface is seeing the events but the server is not able to send sms or mails based on that event? I still hope that the error message "Incorrect Host selected", when trying to add a group from the other node to the actions is based on my fault.

This is supposed to work (worked in 1.4 afaik).
Confirmed that this is broken in 1.6
(same as the updating of the last_* fields in the items table).
