upgrade from 1.3.8 to 1.6.1 - patch DB

hi to all.

i want upgrade zabbix from version 1.3.8 to 1.6.1

I read on the v1.6 zabbix manual that the DB-patch only works for the upgrade from 1.4.x to 1.6.

how can I update my db scheme with 1.3.8?

I can use the patch of an older version, for example update the DB scheme from 1.3.8 to 1.4, and then by 1.4 to 1.6?

Where can I find the script on the 1.4?
on sourceforge.net not find it.

Definitely not an easy upgrade...

I would see if there was a schema change from 1.3.8 to 1.4

Once you know that, you'll be much better off!

You can look in svn and see if that helps or dump your schema and a 1.4 schema and compare.

the DB-patch version 1.6.1 has worked for the upgrade from 1.3.8, without changing the script or the db-schema.

the upgrade is successful!!

As the 1.3.x branch is supposed to be the pre-release version of 1.4, it could be that you are using the same database schema as the 1.4 branch uses, and then you should just upgrade to 1.6 as any other 1.4 user would do.
