    Line Graphs with blanks

    Hi all,

    1) The problem

    Some graphs automatic generated in the section "Latest data" in the Monitoring Section are build with some blank spaces. Here a screenshot:

    It seens that the problem just happens with line style graphs, and just when I start to monitor more than 40 servers.

    Other graphs do not show this problem, even with more than 40 server monitored.

    2) Some info about my enviroment

    Zabbix version 1.6
    FreeBSD 7.0
    Intel Quad Core Q6600 (2.40GHz, 2x4MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz)
    4GB RAM

    About the machine load:

    last pid: 47995; load averages: 0.07, 0.11, 0.09
    CPU states: 0.2% user, 0.1% nice, 0.6% system, 0.0% interrupt, 99.2% idle

    Number of hosts (monitored/not monitored/templates) 102 54 / 0 / 48
    Number of items (monitored/disabled/not supported) 2640 2597 / 1 / 42
    Number of triggers (enabled/disabled)[true/unknown/false] 1109 1096 / 13 [13 / 216 / 867]
    Required server performance, new values per second 120.9668 -

    I think it is not a performance problem, as you can see, the machine is fine.

    Anyone has any tip?

    Thanks a lot!

    Felipe

    Hi,

    Your first graph is a Windows Server ??
    I've same problem : when Windows Server CPU is high no value
    is return by Zabbix agent so there's hole is the graph.

    Regards,
    Pierre.

      Hi Pierre,

      The first graph is a Debian Linux it represents the CPU Idle time, it is about 90%. The second one is from the localhost, the Zabbix Server, a FreeBSD.

      Thanks for your reply.

      Cheers

      Felipe

        We did some tunning in my Zabbix and it seens that the problem of the blank graphs are solved, at least in CPU graphs.

        Some screenshots after the configurations:

        In network graphs, there are some blanks still, but it is much better now:

        What we did:

        zabbix_server.conf

        Start more poolers:

        StartPollers=20 - the default was 5. Maybe I don t need 20, but for the tests it was ok.

        Housekeeping frequency:
        HousekeepingFrequency=6 - the default was 1 (hour)

        Increase the timeout:
        Timeout=10

        Connect the database using MySQL socket:
        DBSocket=/tmp/mysql.sock

        The machine load is higher:
        load averages: 0.59, 0.76, 0.59

        Some process are using more CPU:
        32.2H 10.60% mysqld
