Trigger: not between 8 pm and 10 pm

in my environment i monitor serveral databases. But every day they database goes down for the backup and zabbix triggers a database down.

Is it possible to tell zabbix not to monitor this item between 8 pm and 10 pm?

I have tried a flexible interval with a delay of zero but this doesn't work.

    thanks

I actually stumbled upon the same problem (my zabbix install send like 40 emails last night because of an ORA DB that is backed up offline...).

Just keep using simple interval. But edit your trigger to use time() function. Something like:

    ({your-host:your_key.last(0)}#1)&(({your-host:your_key.time(0)}<200000)|({your-host:your_key.time(0)}>220000))

In bold is your current trigger (key that checks whether DB is available or not, whatever time it is).

Although .time() is not related to what value item has, you still have to provide an host:key combination because that's what the parser expects.

There's also the .dayofweek() function if you need to have special conditions depending on what day it is (e.g.: database is down 8 hours on sundays because of a full offline backup).
