    Hello to all,

    In zabbix_server.log it appearce:

Something happened when the server tried to get the item which caused either the connection to be interupted or for the connect to fail. Is the item an SNMP related item?

      Hello again,

Yes, the "parameters [ if in octects ]" is an SNMP related item.
Do you have any idea why this fails?

      Thanks in advanced, regards,
      H.F.

The only thing that makes sense from where I sit is that the host your are querying can only handle so many SNMP requests at once and Zabbix is flooding the host with SNMP requests. There is really no way around this either except maybe to change the frequency at which you poll the all items on the host.

          Hi HFF

I have the same problem. I saw in other posts the suggestion to change the StartAngents parameter.
I'm testing that, but somebody said that no worked fine.

Let me know if you discover anything.

          Tks\

Please see the bug report I filed here: https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-4901 which seems to match up to the symptoms in this thread.

This appears to be a bug in the Zabbix check_snmp code
