    Simple Calculation for a graph

Is it possible to perform simple calculations on recorded values to create graphs.

For example I have a SNMP value for Total Bandwidth and an SNMP value for VPN bandwidth I would like to minus VPN from Total to provide a graph of Internet bandwidth.

Is this possible - the manual describes that you can create complex graphs - however that is all it states! This is not complex but i cannot see anywhere to do this.

    Thanks

re: Simple Calculation for a graph

I haven't come up with a straight-forward way to do this either. Generally, I just have another check that grabs a difference automatically.

In one case, I was trying to get a value for uptime in a solaris 10 zone and it would have been easier to subtract from some boottime values already in the system.

That said, you could perhaps just graph both values. Just don't stack them.

It'll be relatively obvious on the graph how much of the bandwidth is being used for VPN traffic, and the area above the VPN line will be everything else.

Yes I see what you are saying, however it is a customer request that they have 3 graphs all showing up and down utilization.

Adding up and down with Total and VPN could get messy.

      Cheers though
