Device Missing

Hey to all,

When I disconnect a switch form my network this switch disappears from zabbix "Monitoring - dashboard" and from zabbix "Monitoring - Overview".
Why this happens??? I want the switch to stay in a red state, not to disappear.
Can someone tell me how can I do to keep the switch in the dashboard??

Are you only using snmp to monitor or also ping?
The use of nodata triggers could help here also.
