I tried Silvery's suggestion, with $r for hostname but also with $ar for IP address, with no luck. Traps no longer bind to de default trapper host, but they don't appear into the specific host. What I did (after editing all my snmptt.conf.x files and restarting snmptt) was to copy the snmptrap item from default trapper to the specific host I use for testing (a firewall). Am I missing something?

    Thanks

      Hi MrKen,
thanks for the answer. However, I've resolved the problem and I've modified the scriprt snmptrap.pl to bind the hosts in Zabbix with specific devices with the use of a map for the translate (the script has some errors). I have modified the generation of the keys to manage different events with different items in Zabbix to avoid the influence between different triggers during the update.

Here are my configuration files for snmptrapd and snmptt.
If this doesn't help, set Debug-Level to 2 and track the logging in snmptt.debug
        That's what helped me most.

Note that the following will not work for everyone:

          EXEC /usr/local/sbin/zabbix_sender -z Zabbix-Server-IP -p 10051 -s $r -k snmptraps -o "...."

Why? Because zabbix_sender parameter -s says "Specify host name. Host IP address and DNS name will not work."

The only way that this can work is if your zabbix host name is the same as your dns name.
