I have a system monitored by Zabbix 1.4.2. The server has two Intel processors (2ghz each one, dual core) and 3'5Gb of RAM, with RHEL5 32 as OS.
This is my items list:
2998 with a delay of 30 seconds.
841 with a delay of 5 seconds.
And 2111 triggers enabled.
My question is how many parameters should I monitorize by second? Now (without counting triggers, just items) I have about 300 per second. Is this a huge quantity for my server?
Is there any thread or document where I can look for equivalences between servers capabilities and number of parameters by second?
