    Actions not working - Not User Permission Based

    I made a new thread for this, I wasn't sure if this problem was applicable to the other thread that's open.

    I think after my initial upgrade to 1.6.1 Zabbix stopped sending emails. I've gone through the forum and I've made sure the users receiving the emails have read access to the hosts. Since the person receiving the emails is the Admin they could they whole time.

    Here are my actions:

    Notify Action Trigger severity >= "Information"
    Trigger value = "PROBLEM"
    Send message to User "Admin"

    Trigger = "Ping Status"
    Send message to User "Admin"

    Both of them are enabled. The second one is for a ping trigger for a site I test by disabling the route to it. If I go under notifications I don't see any sent, and if I go to events I see the trigger go off but no action is listed. To make sure my SMTP server is working I telneted into the local host and sent an email using what is listed. I also can use the mail command to send mail to myself as well.

    I don't really know where to go from here. I guess basically I'd like to test the mechanism that facilitates the Trigger to Action.

    I really appreciate anyone who responds to this, I'm kind of at wits ends trying to figure this out.

    The guy in the other thread had the same problem, turns out the binaries were the wrong version. Not sure why the install script didn't overwrite them or whatnot.

      I had the same problem with 1.6.1 and this patch worked for me.
