False alarms

False alarms
A trigger fires “process is down” even if the process is up and running? (this does not happens frequently) My thinking is
that there is a timer value some where that times out? That causes this kind off false alarms.
Is there any one that has any experience regarding this issue?
using zabbix server 1.4.6

check item history. are all values really reporting that process is running ?
i haven't heard or experienced such a problem with 1.4.6.
