    trouble with the 1.6.2

I've upgraded Zabbix from 1.1.4 to 1.6.2 a few days ago. Primary purpuse of using Zabbix in my case is monitoring a lot of managed switches. About 1100 switches has been monitoring in Zabbix at the moment. There's one template for all switches. It contains only item icmpping (from Simple Check group). There's a trigger associated with item (.icmpping.last(0)=0).

It has worked fine before upgrade. In a few minutes I've been running zabbix_server some hosts has appeared in triggers' status table as 'PROBLEM'. I've become confused because all hosts were available.

There's another singularity. Each host's trigger periodically had been changing state from PROBLEM to OK and backward but all the time host replied on pings (I had started ping for specific host manually and had been watching replies).

    What should I do?

    Thanks! (PS: Sorry my English..)

    Hello,

    just to say same here.

After upgrading to 1.6.2 icmpping always returns 0 (ping fails).

I'm also getting this on the server I installed this morning, no ping tests are working. I originally thought it was because the zabbix user couldn't get to fping but I added it to the zabbix user's path and now if I log in as zabbix I can use fping. It's still not working from inside zabbix though, it always returns a 0 even though in the zabbix_server.log it shows this:
      Host [citrix1.xxx.xxx] alive [0] 0.000000 sec.
Anybody got any ideas? This looks like my week to ask lots of crazy questions, sorry about that.

      Kerry
