Zabbix 1.6.2-1.6.3, email subject charset issue

Hi,

i am using Zabbix 1.6.3 (1.6.2 as first installation) and i have trouble receiving email notifications in cyrilic. i use utf-8 as language charset.

when the triger name is in cyrilic, the email message subject comes unreadable, while the message body is ok.

please, guide me where i might look for this issue

Same problem in 1.8.1 with german umlauts

I'm facing the same problem in zabbix 1.8.1
The email body ist displayed fine while the subject is messed up.
Is there any workaround or patch for this problem?

This is a known problem in zabbix. I don't know if there is any workaround or patch for this problem, but it will be corrected on release 1.8.2:
