    Quick way to Zoom out?

I'm really pleased that the problem with graphs resetting to the current time after a click-drag-zoom operation has been fixed. And the zoom seems a lot faster now after upgrading from 1.6.1 to 1.6.4.

However, getting back to the latest information after a zoom operation seems a bit painful. The only way I can work out how to do it is to manually click through the date fields to get back to today.

Is there a quicker way to do this? Am I missing something?

A one click option to dismiss and/or cancel zoom would be great. Even better, if I zoom in multiple times, then ctrl-click to 'scroll' back through my zoom selections ending with the 'current' view would be even better.

solutions for "zoom history" have been discussed briefly before, but i'm not aware of any of those being implemented yet. there's one thing i'm not completely sure about - if you had previous zoom some period at "now" (that is, moving as time passes) and you return to it later - should it return to the same time, or only same scale, but at the current time ?
i'd say latter, but i'm not completely sure

I'm not sure either. But what's got me today is that I'd got used to the previous 'bug' and used it to quickly jump back to the present by changing the scope (day, week, month). Now it's been fixed, I can no longer do that. Given the number of Zabbix users out there, I was wondering what other people do.

Click the reset icon. Above the graph, to the right, middle icon. Jumps to latest 1hr history when I click on it.

Why is it up in the top right hand corner? It should be on the calendar popup where the rest of the date range settings are. And why are they on a popup anyway? It's not like the space saved by moving them into a popup has been put to any good use. All that's in there is the start/end time of the graph, duplicating what's already printed on the graph. Moving them to a popup just means it takes another click to get to what you want. Definitely a step back in usability compared to 1.4.

Ah, I see what you mean. Thanks for the tip, that's exactly what I was looking for. However that collection of icons is only present (on our server) in the Custom Graphs section. What we need is that functionality duplicated when viewing Latest Data graphs and Favourite Graphs too. The former I use quite a lot.

Hi Zabbix Developers, how about it?

Oh, and can I add a request for the reset button on the Screen view as well please. Being able to Zoom in on multiple graphs in one go is very powerful. But it suffers the same Zoom out drawback as the rest.

            Thanks,

            John

My workaround is to simply right-click and open in new window. Manipulate that new window however you want. When you are done, just close it and you are back to your original 1-hour view.
