Some SNMP-items for one host produce timeouts, some not

    Hello,

I'm testing zabbix for our company and if everything looks well, we want to use it for monitoring about 1000 router via snmp to take a look at the in- and outcoming bits.
For the first router we've added everything looked very fine. Same for the second router and the first three interfaces. But when adding more interfaces I get an timeout from snmpget. First I thougt about to many parallel snmp-gets but when playing aroung I've found out, that even with disabling all other items I get these requests timeouts.
I've tried changing from SNMPv2 to SNMPv1 - no result.
I've tried changing the update intervall - no result.
I've used snmpget on the CLI with version 2 and copied the OID out of the zabbix-item-page - I've seen the counter.

Has anybody any ideas why this happens and how to change it?

    Thanks
    drathi81

    P.S: Zabbix v1.0
