I have a number of systems and logfiles which follows to a standart naming schemes in our company - logfile.ISODATE or logfile.MMDDYY.
i.e. /var/log/httpd/apache.20090428.
Some nonstandart apps may also make logfiles like system.09Apr21.trc etc.
I have read a manual, but could not believe that it is not possible to use detailed macros in filenames for logfile monitoring.
I would like to have something like this
log[backup.log.{%YEAR}{%MONTH}{%DAY}.log,media critical event], but it seems that it is not yet possible in zabbix ? Or may be I am wrong ?
