Zabbix Agent started process listens on zabbix agent port

    Hi,

I have an interesting situation here.

I have zabbix monitoring a python process on a box. if the process dies, the zabbix agent starts it up again. This work like a charm.

    However....

lsof -i -P gives the following:

    zabbix_ag 29498 zabbix 4u IPv4 2871535 TCP *:10050 (LISTEN)
    zabbix_ag 29499 zabbix 4u IPv4 2871535 TCP *:10050 (LISTEN)
    zabbix_ag 29501 zabbix 4u IPv4 2871535 TCP *:10050 (LISTEN)
    zabbix_ag 29502 zabbix 4u IPv4 2871535 TCP *:10050 (LISTEN)
    zabbix_ag 29503 zabbix 4u IPv4 2871535 TCP *:10050 (LISTEN)
    zabbix_ag 29504 zabbix 4u IPv4 2871535 TCP *:10050 (LISTEN)

    as well as :
    python 30570 zabbix 4u IPv4 2871535 TCP *:10050 (LISTEN)

a pstree show that the python process is not a child of any of the zabbix agent processes.

Now if I try to restart the zabbix agent. I get errors that the port is already in use. Which it is of course by the python process. The python process does not have any code to listen on 10050, it listens on a udp port.

Has anyone seen this before? Are there any solutions?

    Thanks
    Craig
