#1 - What OS is this?

#2 - Why are you installing version 1.4.1 ? 1.6.4 is the latest stable release...

If you are installing on Linux, you could check this guide:
    http://www.zabbix.com/wiki/doku.php?...:ubuntuinstall

I would really suggest using the 1.6.4 sources as it is stable enough now for mass consumption (IMHO). Also, I didn't see an actual "error" in the screen you posted. What steps did you follow? Did "./configure <your options here>" return without errors or missing components?

you didnt see any errors ?
so those "leaving directories" are suppose to be that way ? and they are not errors and everthing looks fine at that screen shot ?

one more time! I got there errors in both versions. first I tried 1.6.4 and I couldnt install that, so I switch to this older version,
so IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY Difference!

I am using zabbix manual for installing and /configure return without any errors!

In that case, just try running "zabbix_server" and see what happens. If it doesn't run you may have to run it from the full path. You should be able to find it by using the "locate zabbix_server" or "whereis zabbix_server" command.

I tried to run zabbix_server but I got this error :

                [root@cpanel zabbix-1.6.4]# /etc/init.d/zabbix-server start Starting Zabbix server daemon: zabbix_server
                /etc/init.d/zabbix-server: line 20: start-stop-daemon: command not found

Some packages depend on the start-stop-daemon command which is not available in CentOS (or the dag repositories, AFAIK) but the solution is ...
