PingerFrequency vs Update interval (in sec)

Hi all,

Just a quick query I hope someone can explain.

I'm monitoring a lot of hosts with the icmpping "Simple check" and have "Update interval (in sec)" set to 300.

How does the Update interval setting above relate to the PingerFrequency setting in zabbix_server.conf file? I'm concerned about flooding the network with ping traffic.
