Low diskspace - no mail sent

    Hi,

i have configured a trigger and an action to send an email when low diskspace is reached.

The trigger is working fine as I can see from "Monitoring / Triggers":

Average PROBLEM 06 Jun 12:15:30 Low free disk space on bla.some.domain volume c: Add

    The action looks as follows:

Low Diskspace on C: Trigger value = "PROBLEM"
    Send message to User "Admin"
    Enabled

Of course this now sends an email whenever there is a condition status "Problem" which is fine but it doesn't send it for the low disk space issue.

    Why???

    Regards,

How do you know for sure it is working fine? Check the item to make sure it is reading out the data. Go to lates data.

As I said it the trigger is working fine. And yes I can see that there are only 1.42GB free under latest data.

        Could this be a bug?

I'm using Ubuntu and installed it using apt-get.

        This is my version:

        1.6.1-3

so does it send or doesn't it ?
anyway, make sure the user has at least read-only access to that host, otherwise action won't be executed.
you can also take a look at administration -> audit -> actions

            Hi,

it sends emails but not for the trigger low diskspace. e.g. I enabled the trigger for high cpu load and this is sent. So it is not a problem with the email setup or permissions. To make it easy the mail is sent to admin which has sufficient permissions to all machines.

Looking at Admin -> Audit actions I can only see the high cpu load action. Nothing else...?

Could there be something wrong with the predefined trigger?

            Regards,
            Oliver

actions are only triggered when triggers change state. maybe diskspace was already low when you created/enabled that action ?

Yep, that's it. It's working now.

                  Thanks a lot.
